Instant Gratification V.S Delayed Gratification. January 30, 2009

Hello all.
We live in a society that constantly needs instant gratification. It seems as though everyone wants what they want “right now.” That’s the reason for people needing to cling desperately for things like a job and or a relationship that does not serve them well. Instant gratification is an emotion that comes from the ego mind. The ego mind is constantly telling you that you want this and that, and for a brief moment you begin to believe it, only to be let down. The ego eventually fails. The things of this world that people perceive as important are only as important as the thought they think, and the amount of people that agree with it.

For instance, many people get a job because that is what a majority of people have. It offers a quick fix to financial problems that they may be suffering from in the present. They realize that a job may or not be indicative of there highest joy. But they do so anyway, because their ego mind needs something, whether it be to identify with others and belong, or the instant gratification of having an income come in consistently.

Too many people get caught up in the ideas that society wants from them, and aren’t courageous and patient enough to do what they really enjoy. Delayed gratification is knowing that what everyone wants is not necessarily what you want, and you are willing to work on your passion regardless how long it takes to get where you want to. But the funny thing is getting to where you want to go is not even the main objective. The journey and lessons learned is where the goodness lies in, and will always be.

Delayed Gratification means keeping those winning thoughts inside of you, even when on the outside it looks like you are “loosing.”
Delayed gratification is not about sacrifice, it’s about being you, and waiting for people to catch up to you and “get it.” Eventually they will.

At Your Own Pace, There Is No Race. January 27, 2009

Hello all.
When you go about your projects at your own pace, you realize there is no race.
Some individuals like to take their time and thoroughly think things through and this is where they feel most comfortable. Some individuals are more effective when they rush through things, and move fast. The interesting thing about being in the pursuit of your goals, is that the more you stay at your own pace, fast or slow, the better it feels, and the results seem much better at the end.

However, I want to remind my readers that the “process” alone is where the success and juice of life resides. When you are focused on the present moment, fully aware of your action steps you are operating at your own pace, you begin to realize that there really is no “race.” One step at a time is all it takes to stay at your comfortable pace.
When you happily and steadily go about your projects you will find an inner sense of accomplishment as you are moving along. The end result is minimized, and the present moment becomes maximized.
There is nothing wrong with thinking you are racing against someone or trying to beat someone, but the reality is that you set the pace. Enjoy the race, be comfortable with it, after all, it was what you created.

At Your Own Pace, There is No Race.

Why Beyond Success Isn’t Average Success. January 23, 2009

Hello all.
Beyond success in not Average Success. Average success involves the idea of success as something that is a means to an end. Average success is a goal and or destination that needs to be met. Average success is what most people have in mind as the only way, and the right way. Receiving the prize at the end of the tunnel is average success. There is nothing wrong with average success. The house, the car, the money, these are all amazing and have it’s place. I have personal goals I am working towards achieving. However, when you come around to Baker Blog, understand that beyond success goes further than the old ways of average success.

Average success is just that. Average. Nothing wrong with it, but the idea of chasing something that everyone wants doesn’t seem that appealing to me. That’s the main reason I continue to post on here, and continue to grow and learn as an individual on my own path, thus helping countless others.

Beyond Success is learning and growing form all your experiences and is measured by the happiness and quality of your life. Whereas average success is defined by the physical things you’ve accumulated, beyond success can be simply measured by how closely you are in alignment with your life’s mission. This is the truth as I’ve come to understand it.

Beyond success is not better or worse than average success, it’s just a different way of living.

This Is A Sign. January 22, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — beyondsuccess @ 9:54 pm

Hello. On a lot of occasions, many people are looking for validation of whether or not they should follow their dreams, or do what everyone else is doing, and struggle. When we over think our seemingly difficult situation and decision, we tend to look for “signs” to help us through the process. Well this blog post will act as “The Sign” for you to continue doing what you love, and not to look back.
Thinking is not bad, it’s when we over think the major decision that keeps everything complacent and nothing really gets accomplished.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. The select few that read this and need to see this at this moment will see it. This post may or may not be of much relevance to you depending on where you are in your life.

This is “The Sign” for those ready to accept it.

Hello all.
This blog post is empowering. This blog post is empowering because I “choose” it to be, but also it is highly empowering because, I wrote as one of my goals to accomplish for today, was to write an empowering blog.

Every night before I go to bed I write down a goals that need to be accomplished the next day. The gaol listed for today was to write an Empowering Blog. I am currently accomplishing this goal as I type.

This small example is just a way for the readers to see that whatever goal you set out however large or small, if you find a creative way to accomplish it, it still can be accomplished. This blog post is a form of “Thinking Outside the Box.” Creative ways of accomplishing a goal is a lot more fun and exciting. Sometimes doing something creative in order to accomplish your goal, may even have a better result v.s accomplishing the goal the “regular way.”
There are several ways to accomplish your goals, you can go at it hard, or simply \ be creative with it. Either way the goal is accomplished, if you put in the work necessary.

This has been an Empowering Blog.

The Consequences of Doing Stuff You Don’t Like. January 15, 2009

Hello all.
Most people think that doing what they don’t like is the right thing to do. They look around and see other co-workers dread the stuff they are doing, and since they dread that stuff in their minds it must be the right thing to do. I am here to tell you that hard work is necessary but working hard at something you don’t like has it’s consequences. It goes back to the idea that “For every action their is a reaction.”

Working hard at something you have a passion for is different. When you have a passion for something there is a different energy you bring to the table. That’s why when you complete something you have a passion for and it took a lot of work to get there the rewards are greater than if you didn’t like it to begin with.

The consequences of doing stuff you don’t like, is an inner feeling of doubt and struggle. When you are doing what you don’t like your emotions are generally telling you it’s time to move on. But your ego mind tries so hard to make it seem like everything is fine, when your inner guidance says otherwise.
This then leads to unhealthy relationships with other people because the more out of alignment you are with what your higher purpose is, the more you put others feeding of your negative energy.

So you can actually do stuff you don’t like, just to survive, but just remember that there are consequences to it. When you become aware of this reality, you open up to being more honest with your thoughts and actions.

“Every Action Has A Reaction”

The United States of Baker

Hello all.
The next great wave that is coming is that of social networking.
“Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you will. Although social networking is possible in person, especially in schools or in the workplace, it is most popular online. This is because unlike most Networking with Friendshigh schools, colleges, or workplaces, the internet is filled with millions of individuals who are looking to meet other internet users to develop friendships and business relationships, too.”

There are many people that are plugged in and sense the community building on the web. The nice thing now is that you can be apart of this amazing wave. The more creative stuff you put out there, the more you become a part of this growing community of online social networking individuals. Remember not to hesitate. I started writing this Beyond Success -Baker Blog one year ago, and made the decision on a whim. It was not overly thought out, and it was something that just emerged on it’s own. I started off to a very slow start. 0 Viewers in my first six months. This never phased me. I just kept writing because it was fun. Currently Beyond Success-Baker Blog is way above that 0 mark, and doing really well. Not just because people are flocking to read this blog, but because I feel humbled and amazed for being an opening through which the creative expression expands from within me out to the world.
Beyond Success-Baker Blog is doing really well because I say so.

If you have something creative to share, the web is an easy and fun way to make it happen. Granted you may have to spend more time on your laptop/computer than your used to, but if you love it and have a passion to have your work shine, you won’t notice the amount of effort it takes.
It feels like “work” when you don’t love what you do.

I’m just having fun.

The Little Engine That Could. January 10, 2009

Hello all.
Do you remember the story of the little engine that could? Well the story goes that there was a little engine that had to go up this hill. I think it was a train…But people said he was too small, not strong enough. All day long that little engine said this phrase as he was going up the hill. “I think I could, I think I could…” He was affirming and intending his way to get to where he wanted to be. The top of the hill. As the story goes he eventually reached his destination.
Did it matter how small of an engine/train it was?

How powerful are the words and thoughts we are constantly telling ourselves?

Henry Ford said it best.

“Whether you think that you can, or that you can’t, you are usually right.”

Why Focusing On What Is Going Good, Propels You To Beyond Success. January 9, 2009

Hello all.
Focusing on your success and the good things that have occurred up to this point in your life is essential for propelling you towards beyond success. When you sit down and write down the good things that have occurred, you feel the energy of all the things going good, you take on a new energy. This is the energy that we must work from in order to get the ball rolling. What did you successfully do today, it can be small or large. Congratulate yourself, be grateful for experiencing it and move from there.
What you focus on expands. This is essential to anything you undertake.
Your creations become a reflection of the energy and intention you put into it.

That’s why my creations are so amazing. My energy and intention are coming from a positive, amazing place. This is a choice I consciously have to make. I am a Magician along with being a Baker.

I’m a “Magiker”

I write about truth and what people need to hear.
Some despise what’s real because It brings them face to face with their fear.

But they read this because it’s not falling on a deaf ear.
I’m about to take this blog to the next gear.
2009 is our Year.

2009 Some on the grind
some become the grind.
This will be the year you may find.
That your dreams are attainable and you create your reality with your mind.

Let’s look forward no time to rewind.
2009 yes, on my grind.

Have no fear Baker is Here.
2009 is your Year.

Think about whats going good for you thus far.
Put up something creative even if its not up to “par.”
Wish on a star.
Remember who you really are.

2009 you will go far.

Where People Will Flock in 2009 & How The Truth Will Always Prevail. January 7, 2009

Hello all.
By the end of 2009 I predict many people will flock to bookstores and libraries at record numbers. Many people being jobless and laid off will be searching for some kind of truth. The bookstores and libraries offer some kind of relief to the individual that gets laid off of work.

People will also be flocking in record numbers onto sites such as Youtube and blogs written by real people, (such as this one) in search for truth and clarity. Towards the later part of 2009 Beyond Success Baker Blog will continue to be a great success because it always comes from a place of truth, and the truth will always prevail. It is the people that come on here that will make this the success, because these blogs are a reflection of their hopes and dreams. The creative people that begin to follow their dreams, will keep creating positive value to other people, and enjoy a life of inner peace and abundance.

However, the ones that refuse this will be more angry and frustrated than ever, and will resist truth by giving into temptations to do wrong, and drown in the darkness they created for themselves. I see this path as the cause of many addictions taking place such as an obsession with sex, drugs, negative thought patterns, and alcohol. This will create karma that will need to be re-paid either in this lifetime or the next.

2009 is a crucial year as we prepare for the shift in consiousness that is scheduled for 2012.

The Truth Will Always Prevail.

Light and Gratitude,

Why People That Constantly Quit, Have Strong Opinions On Things. January 5, 2009

soil

Soil For The Mind.

Hello all.
The worst advice to take is from people that constantly quit. These are generally the people that have very strong opinions on things. The reason the people that quit have hardcore and strong opinions on things, is because they are acting out of scarcity and fear. The moment someone acts out of scarcity or fear, there opinions seem much stronger than those that are acting out of hope and belief.
The reason for this is because someone who operates out of scarcity and fear is someone operating out of their ego. The ego never wins. It is always trying hard to reach something that “others” believe is right. The ego always needs to be right, and will fight very hard to have “it’s” way. However, operating out of hope and belief is egoless. Being egoless means that your spirit or soul is guiding you, and doesn’t create hardcore opinions on things, because your spirit and soul comes from love.

I have talked to many winners and a few losers in life. I have had the privilege of seeing both sides of the fence. The losers are the people that constantly quit. Quitters operate out of scarcity and fear. For example they are afraid that what they are doing for a living is not what they thought it would be. This fear brings them closer to quitting. Part of the reason is because they took advice from someone that also quit on their dreams. Since they took this advice they are now living a life that someone else designed for them. It’s an endless cycle and takes only one brave soul to break the chain. I intend to be that brave soul. There is no better time in history than now to start following your dreams. (I am currently working on a book that will explain the new age in human consiousness. This new age in human consiousness belongs to the people that are naturally following their dreams because of the energy shift that will take place in our world in the year 2012 and beyond).

Don’t justify your dream to make people happy, follow your dreams and have people justify you for following your dreams.

Following your dreams makes you the real you, not what others think you should be. This is precious.

Hello All.

I’m a leader. Following is very uncomfortable for me. I rather lead my life and have others follow me. This is when I’m most effective. When you begin to realize you are a leader, you take on risk that followers don’t. You gain confidence from the failures, because that’s the stuff that grounds you and makes you learn the most. You also gain confidence in your victory, but I think the lessons are really learned more so when you are down and out, because that’s when you are face to face with your fears.

When you realize the leader in you, you make an impact on others in small and large ways. Most of the people that read my blogs are leaders. Most of the posts on here are not applicable to followers. I recognize this and stay clear on my path of positively influencing the influencer.

Remembering The Past To Be Prepared for The Future. January 2, 2009

Hello all.

The past year 2008 was great. I learned a lot of new things, and opportunities and creativity flowed in abundance. I am truly grateful for the relationships and connections that were built in this past year. As we emerge in this new year, I intend to continue to grow and learn and provide positive lasting value to my readers. My intuition has guided me to exactly where I am at now, and looking back at all the great memories of the past, I feel this is a nice place to be. It was just about a little over a year ago, that I decided to write my first blog, I remember being so terrified, trying so hard to make it perfect. But as I tell everyone, my first 6 months blogging, I literally received zero hits on a consistent basis.

The past was filled with such great memories that I truly feel grateful for being able to experience along with other great people. This propels me to a highly optimistic 2009 filled with adventure and many learning to be done, and many lives to inspire and enrich.

Remember the past to be prepared for the Future.
